| This is the third Max Lucado book I have been gifted with. I read The Applause of Heaven a few years ago, and we own a few of the children's books Lucado has written. Cast of Characters was released last fall and contains portions of his previous writings. Lucado takes a brief look at a few dozen different men and women of God. It was simple enough that I was able to read parts of the book to my then six year old.
